Trager Therapeutic Massage

The magic of mindful movement

For many of us, our movements have become restricted, mechanical, and habitual, our bodies locked in rigid patterns. A Trager session is designed to support you to bring mindfulness to your movements and to release habitual holding patterns through gentle exploration of areas of tightness.
You will also learn appropriate easy movements from the Mentastics™ range to carry your healing process into daily life. These are a series of gentle, playful exercises that allow you to move in comfortable ways to release tension and stress from the bodymind. Using gravity and momentum we stretch, open and effortlessly move the joints and tissues. The movements are designed so that the muscles and joints to be addressed are passively affected, allowing the body to respond naturally and easily. The subtle dance between feeling, sensing and moving invites holding patterns, stress, stiffness and pain to dissolve.

WHY ATTEND THIS SESSION?
Do you sometimes feel exhausted – driven by the expectations of the ego and its demands? You are not alone. It is the sickness of our times. We have lost access to the wisdom of the body. This session is a powerful way of resurrecting the wholeness of your being.

Healing the mind body split

The thing that is missing, for many of us, is a depth of intimacy with the felt body. We live as if we are minds trapped in the vehicle of the body. This session will support you to come home to your body and to embrace the joy of full embodiment and wholeness.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
  • What it feels like to be relaxed and at one with yourself
  • To understand and release the patterns of tension that underly your dis-ease
  • To surrender to the impartial, but loving, force of the gravity that holds the universe together
  • To tune into your felt body – your aliveness – that awareness that keeps you whole, integrated and grounded
  • To understand how to be responsive to your bodymind rather than feeling a victim to unknown forces
  • To understand the power of meditative awareness as a way of healing your bodymind and becoming whole and at one with life

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
  • An individual session of 30, 60 or 90 minutes with an experienced facilitator
  • Time to discuss any questions you may have, with your facilitator
  • Directions regarding OSHO Meditations that may support you at this stage of your journey
