FAQs about the Living In Programs

What does “Living In” mean?

The residential Living In Programs are ways to experience the OSHO International Meditation Resort while living on-campus. Each Living In Program includes a campus entry pass and a room with laundry and cleaning service. There are other program features which depend on which Living In Program you choose.

You can see the complete list here, or follow the links to see the details of each program:

Programs which include Osho Multiversity components:

Multiversity Plus for 30 days

Meditation Plus for 7, 14 or 30 days

Programs of different lengths which do not include any OSHO Multiversity components:

Zen Living – 7, 14 or 30 days

The remaining Living In program Work as Meditation is for participants who want to experience working on campus as a way of deepening their meditation.

You can also visit the Meditation Resort without joining a Living In Program and participate in the Daily Meditation Program and OSHO Multiversity (MV) courses. You can visit on a daily basis or book into the OSHO Guesthouse.

I don’t know which program would be best for me. What do you suggest?

We recommend that you read through the various program details and get a feel for what attracts you most. Usually the Meditation Plus Program is great to start with, as it gives you the freedom to explore the Meditations at your own pace, and can support your process while you participate in the Meditative Therapies No-Mind or Born Again or other OSHO Multiversity courses.

You can also come for a few days by booking yourself into the OSHO Guesthouse and then use our one-to-one guidance to find out what suits you best.

Can I visit the OSHO International Meditation Resort and not participate in a Living In Program?

Yes. You may visit the Meditation Resort at any time, for a day visit, as many times as you like. For short-term visits you can also book into the OSHO Guesthouse.

Read through the Frequently Asked Questions about the Meditation Resort to find out more about the registration process and costs.

Can I participate in a Living In Program for less than 7 days? Do you have short term stay options?

The OSHO International Meditation Resort is open to everyone, visiting from one day up to several months. The Living In Programs are designed to give enough time and space for relaxing into your meditation, whether in a structured meditation or by the pool, and have a minimum of 7, 14 or 30 days available depending on the program.

Visitors who can only stay for less than 7 days can book into the OSHO Guesthouse or find accommodation nearby.

Can I change my program once I’ve started?

It may be possible to change from one Living In Program to another during the first few days of your stay, depending on program availability. The Living In Team will help you find the best available options.

Can I extend my program, and if so, for how long?

Program extensions are possible by mutual agreement and depend on room availability.

The Meditation Plus Program, the Zen Living and WAM Program can be extended on a 7-day basis by mutual agreement. If you are participating in Work as Meditation (WAM-R) Program, extension will also depend on work availability.

If you want to extend your stay, please make sure you let the Living In Team know at least 3 days before your leaving date.

Can I choose my own room?

No. Rooms are assigned based on availability. Please let the Living In Team know in advance if you have special needs, such as not being able to use stairs, etc.

Can I change rooms?

Usually you will stay in the same room for the complete duration of the program. Sometimes we may have to change your accommodation – if your room needs maintenance or repairs for example.

If I extend my visit, will I be able to stay in the same room or will I be asked to change rooms?

This will depend on room availability and how much advance notice you give of your wish to extend.

Can I participate in a Living In Program with my family?

The Living In Programs are designed for adults, and are best experienced on your own. If you want to come with a partner, you can choose to book a double space – see below – depending on availability. However, we will ask each person to apply individually.

The OSHO International Meditation Resort is an environment for adults and does not have adequate facilities for children and minors, so we cannot accept minors into a Living In Program. For more information see: What about kids? and Children in the Meditation Resort.

Can I share a room with my girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse/partner?

Because these programs are individually based, we recommend that everyone has his/her own space. However, if a couple wants to share a room we try to accommodate them accordingly.

What is the cost for a “couple” room?

There is a 20% reduction in the program fee for the 2nd person.

Will I need to restock room supplies, personal items and toiletries etc.?

Yes. You will need to provide room supplies, personal items and toiletries yourself. They are available from the Galleria on campus.

What facilities are included in the program fee?

If you book a Living In Program, the following is included:

How long before I want to come should I apply/book a Living In Program?

Being able to stay inside the Meditation Resort depends on program and space availability at the time. The longer in advance you apply, the better the chance of getting a program that suits your travel dates.

Please note that the Living In Programs tend to be fully booked from December to March. If you wish to visit the OSHO International Meditation Resort during that time it is advisable to apply well in advance.

However, if you decide on the spur of the moment to jump into this unique experience, we will do our best to accommodate you.
