Dropping out of the fix-it mind – reconnecting with clarity
When we have problems in life our first instinct is to try to solve them with thinking; coming up with solutions that seem practical and sensible. But, no matter how hard we try, we never seem to be problem free. We solve one problem and up pops another, other problems just never seem to go away. And so we remain entangled in trying to come up with solutions, resulting in frustration and stagnation and life passes us by, unlived.The miracle of witnessing
As Osho points out “A problem is a created thing. Situations are there, problems are not there. Problems are your interpretations of situations.” The solution to this is simple – although your mind may scoff at this idea – stand back from your inner turmoil so you can see clearly what you are doing to turn a situation into a problem. In other words, stop trying to fix anything. Just allow clarity to ariseThis session is not about getting advice for solving your problems, but rather about learning techniques that help create a distance between you and your mental turmoil. You will then be supported to remain in a space of nonjudgmental awareness as you watch your problems unravel.
Have a good laugh
As Osho says:“Just look next time you are having a trip and riding a problem. Just watch, just stand aside and look at the problem. Is it really there or have you created it? Look deeply into it and you will suddenly see it is not increasing, it is decreasing; it is becoming smaller and smaller. The more you put your energy into observation, the smaller it becomes. A moment comes when suddenly it is not there – and you will have a good laugh.”
