BodyMind Alignment

Mindfulness in motion – healing through awareness

The Sanskrit word for health svastha translates as established in the self; meaning unsplit, integrated – body, mind and awareness in organic unity.
A BodyMind Alignment session is a series of simple, gentle exercises that release tension and stress from the body. Using gravity, momentum and relaxed awareness, we effortlessly stretch and open the joints and tissues. Passive movements act to improve the range of movement in the joints, allowing the body to move naturally and easily.

Living non-mechanically – fully alive!

Bringing mindfulness to the subtle dance between feelings, sensations and movements invites holding patterns, stiffness, and pain to release; and encourages integration and alignment to arise naturally and easily. A transformational experience of wholeness.

“If you can understand this single word “mindfulness” you will have understood Buddha’s whole being, his whole approach… His approach is a methodology, not a doctrine. It is a way of life. People live like robots, they live mechanically. Buddha says live non-mechanically.”   Osho

WHY ATTEND THIS SESSION?
This session is for you if you want to release pain and tension from your bodymind and find a tool for remaining stress free. These movements can also help in chronic conditions, such as arthritis, by restoring the muscles to correct functioning and taking the stress off your joints.

Bringing mindfulness to your bodily movements will deepen your meditation and integrate it more fully into your daily life.

  • The role of mindfulness in the healing process
  • To transform your experience of being in the body
  • A whole new perspective on what it means to be alive

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
  • An individual session of 60 or 90 minutes with an experienced facilitator
  • A program of conscious movement structured to your individual needs
  • Directions regarding OSHO Meditations that may support you at this stage of your journey

“That is the kind of care we should take in developing awareness: a relaxed alertness. These two words look diametrically opposite. They are, because whenever you are relaxed you lose alertness, and whenever you are alert you lose relaxedness. Unless they both happen together you will miss Buddha’s message… It is the highest synthesis of human consciousness: one polarity is relaxedness, another polarity is alertness, attentiveness.”  Osho
