Ayurvedic Yoga Massage uses oil and a stimulating herbal powder and usually occurs on a mattress on the floor. Deep penetrating strokes and the meditative presence of your facilitator support you to bring awareness to areas of your body where energy is stuck. This brings release. Supported Yoga stretches are used to encourage and support the flow of energy.Stress and tension – you are doing it to yourself.
Relaxation is not something you do, you actually have to stop doing something. This might be hard to swallow, but it really does take effort and energy to maintain tension. When we fall inward to the space of non-doing that is meditation, or witnessing; release happens easily and spontaneously.
