This immersive course is an opportunity to explore the Yin Yoga postures in depth while embracing the stillness that the practice can bring about in the bodymind. Yin Yoga recognizes that connective tissue is different from muscle and needs to be exercised differently responding best to slow, steady loading. Yin Yoga focuses on promoting flexibility in areas often thought of as nonmalleable, especially the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, areas that exercise a profound influence on the whole body, both in terms of posture and energy flow.
Yin Yoga poses are held for between 3 and 5 minutes with focus on allowing you to move deeper into the pose as tension gradually releases.

Recent research suggests that the connective tissues provide pathways for the energy flows in the meridians and nadis of the ancient energy maps.
